My Chemical Romance sat down for an exclusive chat with NovaFM in Los Angeles to discuss their hot new single "Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na)."
The New Jersey-born quartet has just re-emerged on the scene with their huge comeback track – the first taste of their forthcoming album Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys.
The follow-up to their 2006 delivery The Black Parade is tipped to be a crazy and colourful journey, as evident from the sound of "Na Na Na" and the band's brand new look.
“It was the song that started everything over," frontman Gerard Way said.
"It’s the song that hit the reset button and we recorded the entire album because of “Na Na Na.” So the song has a power to it because of that.
"It’s so much more fun. The biggest thing is there are no rules anymore. Parade had a lot of rules. It was monochromatic and we were in these tight restrictive uniforms that were very much about punishment, in a weird way. And now it’s the opposite. It’s about freedom – freedom of self-expression."
Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys is tipped for release in November
